A gorgeous backdrop on the Inverclyde, the sun was shining & Greenock laid on a phenomenal event with crowds estimated at 25,000 for the Saturday's racing.
Going into the event Sam & Daisy were a little unsure how they would fare, knowing they could hold our their in the rough; as they proved in Scarborough; with the sheltered race site they knew the conditions would be flat calm at this event. In the first race they were able to battle their way to 3rd place then went on to win races two and three. Moving onto the Sunday they knew the pressure would be on to maintain their lead.
The weather turned on the Sunday with very poor visibility it was questionable whether they were going to race at all due to safety reasons. The weather cleared and they ran one race which they won!
“We're over the moon, top step of the podium and now leading the Championship by 21 points going into Gosport for our next event 9-10th July. Being Daisy's nearest event we hope to see some local support with all the racing being free to attend”
