3rd Regiment Royal Horse Artillery is a Close Support Artillery Regiment, which has been based in Germany for 17 years but is now moving to Albemarle Barracks just outside Newcastle-upon-Tyne. The Regiment consists of 5 Batteries, C, D, J (Sidi Rezegh), M (Headquarters) Battery and N Battery (The Eagle Troop). The Batteries of the Regiment have existed since 1st November 1793.   On a cold and wet morning many RAA veterans and serving Gunners attended the annual Gunner Sunday parade at the Royal Hospital, Chelsea in the company of our In-Pensioners.  With many families and friends present it was a marvellous coming together of the Regimental Family. General Secretary visits 1st Tynemouth Volunteer Artillery

General Secretary Col Vere Nicoll visited the 1st Tynemouth Volunteer Artillery Association Branch on the 21st October 2014.  A delightful evening was had by all with drinks and a three course meal.  Colonel Middleton introduced the evening followed by a speech from Col Vere Nicoll about the RAA and RA Charitable Fund.  The Northumberland Cadet band played very well.  After speeches there was a 'Roll Call' where every member's name was called out...

General Secretary Visits Birmingham Branch

The General Secretary, Col Vere Nicoll visited the Birmingham Branch of the Royal Artillery Association on the 25th October 2014.
