On Thursday 26th February a ceremony will take place to unveil a Commemorative Paving Stone to honour Major General Sir Christopher Charles Teesdalc VC KCMG CB, who was awarded the Victoria Cross following action during the Crimean War. Christopher Teesdale was born in South Africa in 1833 and, like his father, was an officcr in the Royal Artillery. AROUND BRITAIN’S COAST (ABC) MOTORCYCLE TRIP     I plan to motorcycle ride around the coastline of Britain using roads and bye-ways, keeping as close to the coast as possible. The trip will be in aid of three charities. I will be riding a BMW 700 GS.   The ride will take about 3-4 weeks and is between 4-5000 miles. 222nd Battery birthday and the anniversary of the foundation of the Royal Horse Artillery.

On Monday 2nd February the Chestnut Troop celebrated their 222nd Battery birthday and the anniversary of the foundation of the Royal Horse Artillery.   The all day celebrations started with the Officers and SNCOs waking up the Gunners with traditional ‘Gunfire’, a delicious mix of coffee and rum.   After a hearty breakfast in the HUB, Bdr Hughes ran the traditional 5-a-side football tournament, held in the Garrison super gym. ...
