3rd Regiment Royal Horse Artillery is a Close Support Artillery Regiment, which has been based in Germany for 17 years but is now moving to Albemarle Barracks just outside Newcastle-upon-Tyne. In one of his final acts as a regular officer, Prince Harry unveiled the Bastion Memorial at the National Memorial Arboretum on Thursday 11 June 2015. The Royal Artillery Assembly 2015 was another resounding success. Over 500 Gunners, both serving and retired, with their families enjoyed a weekend of comradeship, entertainment and the Grand Gala Dinner on the Saturday night.
