It has been a great summer (apart from the weather) for the Regimental Family. We have been following our social and from all the great posts it seems that you have all been very busy and making the most of your holidays! Army Veteran, Kevin O' Brien completed his 375 mile Charity Bike Ride, Blyth to Larkhill in 3 days.

Following a wrongful disqualification days after winning the P1 Scottish Grand Prix of the Sea which was later overturned by our governing body; the Royal Yachting Association, as it was established the reason for DQ were out of our control and P1 had not given us a fair platform for which to state our case, we went into our home county event in Milford Haven feeling totally unprepared as the boat had been in parc ferme since Scotland.

A team of 150 riders – ‘Team DNRC’ – took part in the Pru Ride 100 on Sunday 30 July cycling over the 100 mile course to raise money and awareness for the new Defence and National Rehabilitation Centre (DNRC). It was a hugely successful day with many Team DNRC making good times.

Norwich Branch has sadly had to say goodbye to one of their staunchest members and supporters, Colin Thackery, as he departed to London to become an In-Pensioner at The Royal Hospital, Chelsea.
