Royal Artillery Service of Remembrance - NMA
The RA Service of Remembrance is one of the key gatherings of the Regimental Family.
This year The Royal Artillery Association were joined by over 500 Veterans and serving Soldiers from the Royal Regiment who came to pay their respects to those that have gone before.
Malvern Branch of the Royal Artillery Association
The Royal Artillery Standard Bearers were again in superb order with another great turn out from our branches. They formed up within the NMA Gardens for their inspection by the Regimental Colonel, Maj Gen Cullen and the RASM.
The Service of Remembrance was held in the marque and carried out by The Ven John Blackburn who sadly is retiring and this will be his last service atthe NMA. The music was ably supplied by 103 Lancashire Artillery Band who were yet again on great form. The small band concert after the service was a real treat and enjoyed by many while enjoying late sunshine and a well earned cup of tea.
The Standards also joined the service in the Royal Artillery Garden where a small service and wreath laying ceremony was held accompanied by a lone Piper and Bugler.
It was a moving sight to see the Standards dip in Tribute at the playing of the Last Post. We would like to thank all our branches and the serving Regiment for taking the time to help us remember and commemorate the fallen.
We will see you all next year!
