  <title>Tour of Denmark 1986</title>
  <link>http://www.theraa.co.uk/index.php?name=News&amp;file=article&amp;sid=10</link>
<description>Just been looking at a few photos from the tour of Denmark in 1986 and a few memories came back, anyone remember?

1. Danish army knocking off half way through a fire mission (union rules)
2. Sleeping outside the railway station waiting for transport.
3 Visiting the Carlsberg factory and getting Elephant beer badges (never get caught without one)
4. The Eskimo bar in Copenhagen</description>

  <description>Hi All,

Please log onto the link below and sponsor me for the Big Battlefield Bike Ride:

I spent 22 years in 2nd Field Regt /39 Regt RA, my son Martin has just returned from a 6 month tour of Iraq, this was an anxious and very worrying time for our family.

All of our service personnel in Afghanistan and Iraq are doing a fantastic job under difficult and harrowing conditions. I read about the Help for Heroes in the Sun news paper and decided to get my bum into gear and join the Big Battlefield Bike Ride. Any monies I raise through this exciting challenge will go towards funding the building of a much needed swimming pool and gym complex at the Headley Court tri-service Rehabilitation Centre, London, for serving military personnel.

Gary Clark&#039;s Big Battlefield Bike Ride

Regards:

  <title>The National Memorial Arboretum</title>
  <link>http://www.theraa.co.uk/index.php?name=News&amp;file=article&amp;sid=7</link>
<description>Big things are happening at the National Memorial Arboretun

National Memorial Arboretum – Update Extract September 2007

You will hopefully be aware that the Arboretum is now in the run up to the dedication of the Armed Forces Memorial (AFM) on 12 October and its subsequent opening to the public. The dedication event is ticket only, with the majority allocated to the families of those who are commemorated on the memorial. If you feel that you might meet the criteria for tickets, please apply through the Armed Forces Memorial website as soon as possible Armed Forces Memorial Projectl and please spread the word to others who you think may be eligible.

While the full details are being agreed, the Remembrance/Armistice Ceremony on 11 November will be held at the AFM from 1015. We would be delighted if you and your Association wish to support any of our
Remembrance events, but may I recommend strongly that you hire a coach or minibus and pre-book your arrival with Lynne Barkas on 01283 792333 if you are coming as a group?
